BadTaste: CD Launch Adelaide

Tonight I went along to support young Adelaide band BadTaste by attending the launch of their first CD ‘Please Notice My Tie’.  These young turks have really got something and disturbed me with their tale of woe re what they are going through to get noticed!!!

When will the madness stop?: why do young bands like this need to suck up to the ‘establishment’, raise money for a ‘CD’ and studio time, play gigs in nasty places, beg for a contract then, if successful, hire lawyers to get out of those same contracts!!

Anyways – check the photos from their site and tonight’s gig in this post.  The boys thundered out a monstrous set and were well supported.  The band and soundguy kindly let me plug into the mixing desk and here is a little Listen to what I got.

I think our friends Adam Curry and those crazy Aussies at ThePodcastNetwork might be about to change all that…  Adam continues to lead the way with podcasting in general and this week that mad Oz Cam declared war on the music industry with this post.
